Join the book launch of TRANSDISCOURSE 3: Women in art, science and body politics (ed. by Jill Scott, Berlin; Boston: De Gruyter, 2025). This transdisciplinary publication explores the dynamic intersections of discovery, creativity, and inclusive futures from the arts and the sciences, uniting 26 international women mainly from the arts.
The event will feature talks on-site with renowned speakers including Jill Scott (media artist, neuroscience researcher, professor at ZhdK), Christa Sommerer (media artist and botanist), Alexandra Krawiec (economist and RSA Fellow), and Inês Montalvão (creative director at Artists with Evidence). Regine Rapp, co-director of Art Laboratory Berlin, will provide an introduction.
Through five thematic sections—Contextualizations, Personal Reflections, Exhibitions, Conversations, and Investigations—the authors explore how rethinking creativity and body politics might affect human rights, sustainability, bodily representations, and personal expressions. A unique space for dialogue and vital resource for engaging with creativity, discovery, and change. Free entry. Lebanese food and drinks served after presentations.
A collaboration between Art Laboratory Berlin and SciArt Zürich.
