Stevie's Call brings the timeless genius of Stevie Wonder to the Zig Zag stage through captivating jazz interpretations. Vocalist Frank Scheele and pianist Peter H. Köcke transform both beloved and rare gems from Wonder's repertoire into virtuosic jazz explorations—swinging, floating, and grooving in equal measure.

The Project

Often called the Mozart of pop music, Stevie Wonder's influence on jazz is unmistakable. This ensemble reimagines his songwriting legacy with fresh arrangements that showcase the deep musical roots connecting Wonder's catalog to jazz expression.

The Band

A stellar ensemble of German jazz professionals leads the charge: Frank Scheele (vocals), Peter H. Köcke (keys, arrangements), John-Dennis Renken (trumpet), Milan Kühn (saxophone), Duy Luong (bass), and Benny Hoffmann (drums). Each musician brings extensive touring and festival experience, from Montreux to the WDR Big Band.
