Dutch musical duo SARAH JULIA comprises two sisters born in 1998 and 2001 who grew up together in the theatre. Their partnership evolved from shared childhood experiences into thoughtful songwriting that explores growing up, family relationships, and loss. The siblings craft a distinctive sound by blending acoustic elements—guitar and harp—with deeper textures of double bass and cello, creating introspective music that feels both intimate and expansive. Their debut EP examines themes of grief and change, with the pair stating: "In our songs we try to find peace with change, growing up and (self) acceptance." Drawing inspiration from artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Joni Mitchell, SARAH JULIA uses music as a vehicle for emotional processing and personal reflection. Their live performances offer a rare window into the creative partnership of two artists navigating identity and meaning through shared melodies. This Berlin performance, presented by Trinity Music and DIFFUS, promises an evening of emotionally honest songwriting and beautiful instrumentation. Read more
