Paul Scheugenpflug and his quartet present their debut album on a Germany-wide release tour. The bandleader and saxophonist crafts compositions that balance catchy melodies with energetic jazz improvisation, blending groove-based jazz with influences from fusion, hip-hop, and pop.

Scheugenpflug earned recognition as the 2024 Newcomer Jazz Prize winner of Rhineland-Palatinate, followed by the 2025 Dörken Foundation Jazz Design Award, the 2024 Biberach Jazz Award, and the 2023 Frankfurt Jazz Scholarship with the jazz collective FÄZZ. His 2025 debut album showcases his distinctive approach to contemporary jazz.

The ensemble features Lion Lauer on keys, Moritz Neukam on bass, and Joshua Knauber on drums. This concert at B-flat offers an evening of sophisticated, groove-driven jazz that speaks to both the head and the body.
