Join Spore Initiative for a special screening of animated short films from Palestine as part of the Palestine is Still Animated series, in collaboration with Palinale Festival and the Animation Community for Palestine (AC4PAL).

This curated collection showcases works by Palestinian animators, including shorts from animator Haneen Koraz's community project in Gaza. The screening explores themes of dreaming while grieving, with animation exploring fantasy, escape, wishing, and mourning as responses to displacement and loss. The films form an invaluable archive of Palestinian livelihood and resilience.

The event features a live Q&A with Haneen Koraz from Deir al-Balah, followed by panel discussion. This is a fundraiser, with all donations supporting Haneen's animation workshops for children and women in the Gaza Strip. The screening is suitable for ages 12 and up, with possible animated depictions of hunger, war, destruction, or dismemberment.
