"On the Clock: Art as Labour" is an immersive exhibition at Manifesto Potsdamer Platz during Berlin Art Week, transforming the venue's first floor into a working studio where visitors observe artists in real time. Rather than displaying finished pieces, this exhibition invites you to watch musicians, fashion designers, and performers develop their creative practices—revealing the hours, repetition, and physical presence behind every act of making.
The exhibition explores what art means beyond the object: what value lies in the process itself? Witness the discipline and focus required as collaborating artists from Collective Placebo, Kinder der Welt, and Leonis Works move through their practices. Whether sketching, composing, or choreographing, each artist offers insight into how creativity unfolds.
The exhibition reaches its crescendo on September 13 with a live closing performance (19:00–22:00), featuring work created throughout the four-day run. This is ideal for Berlin Art Week visitors, process-obsessed creatives, and anyone curious about what happens before an artwork reaches the world.
