About the event
The Austrian drummer and composer Mathias Ruppnig presents new music from his current album FOAM, released December 12, 2025. For this concert, he brings an international quintet to the stage: Ramiro Olaciregui on guitar, Gianni Gagliardi on saxophone, Béla Meinberg on piano, Makar Novikov on bass, and Mathias Ruppnig on drums.
The program features music from FOAM, selected jazz standards, and original compositions from the other band members, creating an open and dynamic concert evening characterized by rhythmic depth and melodic freedom. Ruppnig, based in Berlin, is one of the distinctive voices on the European jazz scene, having collaborated with artists like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Doug Weiss, Jeremy Pelt, and many others.
