Le Cannibale & Refuge Worldwide al Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea
About the event
Refuge Worldwide, the Berlin-based radio station and cultural platform, comes to Milan for the first time on Saturday 24 October. Le Cannibale brings the station's electronic music to the Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea (PAC), where it meets the exhibition RI-SCATTI: Prima che sia notte.
The exhibition, conceived by PAC and RISCATTI ODV together with Milano Welcome Center, gives migrant and refugee women a voice through photography. Their pictures tell stories of journeys, relationships, motherhood, rights and the search for a new life. Placing that work beside a night of electronic music creates a shared space for people who have experienced migration, and for anyone curious to listen and connect.
Refuge Worldwide uses radio, music and public programmes to make room for expression and community, with particular attention to refugees and migrant communities. This evening is one of those meetings, where two different languages, music and photography, speak to the same idea.
