Refuge Worldwide's Journaling Café invites you to explore beauty through introspection and collective care. This opening workshop examines how beauty standards function as violence—the ways they touch us, shape us, and constrain us—and how we can subvert and resist them together.

In a communal setting, you'll have the space to experiment with journaling as political action: to write, to draw, to question. The session features live music to create an intimate atmosphere, guided prompts to spark reflection, and open writing time for you to follow your own thread of thought. Whether you're interrogating your own relationship to beauty, processing cultural narratives, or simply peeling back layers of yourself on the page, there's room for all of it.

No writing experience necessary. Come as you are—with a journal, blank paper, markers, or just your thoughts.
