Modern jazz at its finest. Trumpeter and composer Jakob Bänsch is one of the most promising rising stars on the European jazz scene. His music is described as having a 'mesmerising, Bach-like intensity', and he has been compared to the young Wynton Marsalis by renowned New York jazz critic Bill Milkowski.

His debut album Opening won the German Jazz Award 2024 for 'Debut Album of the Year', among other accolades. His second album, All The Others, released in February 2025, artfully weaves together impressionistic classical music, modern jazz and folk elements.

This evening features Jakob Bänsch on trumpet, alongside Niklas Reover on piano, Jakob Obleser on bass, and Leo Asal on drums—a quartett delivering sophisticated, contemporary jazz.
