Helicopter is an energetic trio operating at the intersection of jazz, punk, free improvisation, and raw sound chaos. Featuring Peter van Huffel (saxophone), Roland Fidezius (bass), and Simon Camatta (drums), the band channels the burning intensity of Berlin's underground scene combined with the creative dynamism of the Ruhr region.

Born from a spontaneous meeting at Rabbit Hole Theater in Essen in January 2024, Helicopter delivers an explosive fusion of melody, noise, groove, and fearless improvisation. Peter and Roland, longtime collaborators in the thrash-jazz trio Gorilla Mask, push their sound into uncharted sonic territory, while Simon brings his distinctive rhythmic intensity as a driving force in North Rhine-Westphalia's avant-garde scene.
