The Playce turns into a Halloween playground for families on 31 October, and the programme is open to all ages. Children can go trick-or-treating through the participating shops and collect sweets along the way, while a full programme runs across the building from 3 to 7 pm. Costumes are more than welcome, and everything on the day is free of charge.

What to expect

• Halloween workshop on Level -1, where kids make their own masks and treat bags, with more stations than last year
• Face painting and glitter station at Manifesto Market, with free popcorn on the side
• Walking acts and eerie characters, plus atmospheric lighting that brings the Halloween mood indoors and out
• Thriller-inspired dance workshop by 4You Studios at 6 pm, where you can join in or simply watch
• Spooky Parade starting at 6:30 pm
• The Spooky Band playing live at Manifesto to close the evening

The Playce has celebrated Halloween for all ages before, and this year the programme is fuller still. Whether your children want to be spooked, painted or simply sent out to collect sweets, there is something for each age, and parents can follow along at their own pace.
