Melissa Achten presents new works for microtonal prepared harp, arranged in a séance-like structure where custom preparation techniques shape the sonic landscape. James Ilgenfritz draws from his album Alien Generator, performing selections for just intonation contrabass augmented with alternate tunings and miniature mechanical instruments controlled through live electronics.

This is music that rewards careful listening, where precision tuning and unconventional instrumental preparation create soundscapes outside the bounds of standard Western temperament. The three artists present European premiere solo sets of original work exploring experimental approaches to pitch, timbre, and instrumental possibility.
