Emily Intsiful brings a fresh interpretation of Nina Simone's legacy to Zig Zag Jazz Club, performing familiar favorites and newly rehearsed selections from the Nina Simone archive. This isn't a tribute through imitation — it's a living continuation of Simone's artistic vision, reinterpreted through the voice and sensibility of a contemporary artist.

The Ensemble

Intsiful is joined by an international ensemble of accomplished jazz musicians: Tom Sehrer (piano, Germany), Trigo Santana (double bass, Brazil), and David Millán (drums, Colombia). Together they blend classical foundations, blues traditions, and cross-cultural influences to honor Simone's legacy while creating something entirely present-tense.
