A three-day meditation retreat exploring the practice of formless meditation, a contemplative path that helps practitioners recognize and examine their conceptual frameworks while perceiving reality with greater directness and completeness.
The retreat centers on the concept of mandala as a lens for engaging with experience, emphasizing appreciation for the fullness, structure, and interconnected nature of what we encounter. Through formless meditation practice (rooted in Dzogchen and Mahamudra teachings), participants learn to gently release confusion while embracing the richness of their lived experience.
The weekend blends talks, guided meditation (both sitting and walking practice), simple body exercises, and group discussion. Friday evening opens with an introductory lecture at 19:00. Saturday offers a full practice day (10:00–18:00 with break). Sunday closes with a final session (10:00–14:00). Participants can attend the Friday lecture alone, but the Saturday and Sunday practice days must be taken together.
Led by meditation teacher Lily Besilly (authorized by Sylvia Wetzel in 2008), who brings accessible instruction to complex Buddhist practices with warmth and clarity.
Costs: Donation basis plus approximately 40–60€ organizational fees (room rental, etc.), adjusted per participant count.
