Desertfest Berlin (Day 3)
Desertfest Berlin (Day 3)
About the event
Desertfest Berlin closes its 2026 edition on Saturday with a headliner that leans into the more atmospheric, post-metal end of the festival's spectrum. Russian Circles — the Chicago instrumental trio — are one of those rare acts capable of filling a room with tension, release, and genuine emotion without a single word sung.
The supporting lineup is equally strong. Crippled Black Phoenix bring their sprawling, post-rock grandeur to Columbiahalle, and Pelican — another Chicago instrumental heavyweight — make for a natural pairing with the headliners. Nebula return to European stages with a dose of classic fuzz-driven heavy psych, while The Dharma Chain offer something more urgent and driving. Zerre, Skloss, and EF fill out the day's program before things build toward the festival's close.
A fitting end to three days of heavy music at one of Berlin's best large venues — riff gods, trippy art, chaotic karaoke, and local eats from vegan to carnivore.
