Desertfest Berlin launches its 2026 edition at Columbiahalle with a stacked Thursday opener. Now in its 14th year, the festival remains Berlin's premier gathering for stoner, heavy, and psychedelic rock, pulling in devotees from across Europe for three days of riff worship and sonic communion.

Thursday's lineup is anchored by Hermano and The Sword, two acts that between them have defined what heavy American rock sounds like across multiple decades. Joining them are Truckfighters, the Swedish fuzz titans who rarely disappoint, and Earthless, whose extended, improvisation-driven jams have made them one of the most compelling live acts in heavy music. Fuzz Sagrado brings a rawer, psych-drenched edge to the bill, while Blackwater Holylight and High Desert Queen add depth and variety to what is already a compelling evening.

Rounding out the night: Steak, Monsterwatch, Cardiel, and more.

Expect the usual Desertfest atmosphere alongside the music — wild afterparties, trippy art and merch stalls, chaotic karaoke, and food vendors covering everything from vegan to carnivore.
