An afternoon workshop in which you design and hand-build a ceramic wall sconce, starting from a slab of clay. You learn the design process for ceramic lighting, slab construction techniques, and how to wire a plug-in lamp with simple materials from Bauhaus. The sconces mount on a wall with two small nails and plug into an outlet.

Suitable for beginners and advanced ceramicists, no previous experience needed. The ticket includes material costs. Bisque and glaze firing is an additional 10 Euros per kg, and finished work can be picked up two to three weeks after the workshop. Taught in English by Adrien Iz Nettere, an artist and designer who works with light and images and is a current resident at GlogauAIR.
