Wasserklang is a musical exploration of the water cycle, reimagined as an interactive performance for both children and adults. Kabinet Mirage takes audiences on a sonic journey following a single drop of water through its transformation across nature — evaporation, clouds, rain, streams, and return to the sea.
The performers layer trumpet, saxophone, and kalimba with unconventional sound sources: glasses, bottles, bowls, and pots that resonate with water-inspired melodies. Using loop-station technology, they build intricate soundscapes in real time, allowing instruments to weave together as the narrative unfolds. It's part concert, part science lesson, part pure sonic magic — the kind of performance that sneaks environmental awareness into your brain while your ears are completely delighted.
The show concludes with audience interaction and instrument demonstrations, inviting young listeners (and curious adults) to participate in creating sound themselves. At just 50 minutes, it's perfectly paced for the attention spans of younger audiences without shortchanging anyone seeking genuine artistry. Bilingual in German and English, this production fits Zirkus Mond's commitment to accessible, boundary-pushing performance.
Doors at 15:00, performance begins at 16:00.
