Tanya Tagaq brings her visceral practice of throat singing to Berlin's Berghain, transforming the ancient Inuit tradition into a raw channel for resistance and renewal. Based in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, Tagaq has evolved throat singing into something wholly contemporary, where improvisation and performance art converge to create ritual confrontations with colonization, ecological collapse, and Indigenous erasure.

Her work spans contradictions: the expansive whispers of the Arctic clash against guttural ferocity, fragility against political outcry. Each utterance carries weight, strained under histories of loss and colonial violence, yet pulsing with radical tenderness. She's equally commanding on the page and screen, having published the genre-blending novel Split Tooth and co-directed the documentary Ever Deadly, both exploring ancestral memory and survival.

This concert pairs Tagaq with support from PΞB, a Berlin-based industrial noise duo channeling punk fury and metal precision into relentless sonic assault. The evening promises performances that are corporeal and full-bodied, demanding presence from every witness.
