Seeds of Change
Über das Event
Seeds of Change is a hands-on workshop exploring how communities can transform food systems from the ground up to be more sustainable, healthy, and equitable. Designed for students and youth organisations concerned with food and agriculture, this workshop brings together food systems changemakers from Brazil, Nigeria, and the Philippines to share practical organising tools, inspiring real-world success stories, and collaborative approaches to creating solutions you can implement in your own contexts.
The facilitators are changemakers who mobilize their communities to make real progress towards stronger and more sustainable food futures. Their work ranges from transforming urban foodscapes to fostering food security on small islands, and strengthening women's rights to land ownership and agricultural production.
This workshop is a product of the Humboldt Residency Programme 2025 on "The Future of Food", bringing international perspectives to the challenge of transforming global food systems through local action. For youths and adults, conducted in English. Please note that the event is fully booked, but registration may still be available.
