A cornerstone of the legendary Soulquarians movement alongside J Dilla, Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, Mos Def, Q-Tip, or Questlove to name but a few, we are more than hyped to welcome at J.A.W one of the most distinctive voices in modern soul and a longtime favorite at JAW Family, Bilal.

The Philadelphia native is responsible for so many classics, from his cult debut First Born Second to unforgettable collaborations like Reminisce, All Matter, These Walls with Kendrick Lamar and of course Sometimes. With his latest releases Live at Glasshaus and Adjust the Brightness, Bilal continues to push boundaries and reinvent soul on his own terms.

Bilal will be performing with his own live band on that night.

Berlin's own douniah will open the night with a special set for the occasion. Well known for her sound influenced by Black American music, North African Gnaoua, and everything her mother played while she was growing up between Hamburg and Agadir, douniah brings a deeply personal and genre-blending energy to the stage.
