Über das Event
Two sound worlds meet at ausland for an evening of tanbur, cello, electronics and voice. Merve Salgar and Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu have made music together for years, and their set draws on a shared musical memory, moving between the familiar and the unknown. Merve Salgar plays tanbur and Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu plays cello, with electronics and voice running through their dialogue.
The second part of the evening belongs to Elif Gülin Soğuksu, who treats the voice as a basic medium of sonic imagination. Rather than seeing the voice as a carrier of language, identity or representation, her performance treats it as a relational and affective force that moves between inner and outer sound. The piece is built on live-coding experiments that process, synthesize and arrange sounds with algorithmic methods, producing a malleable soundscape. Her vocal tracks blur into one another and explore intimacy, memory, auditory hallucination and imaginative listening.
Doors open at 20:00 and the performance starts at 20:30. Tickets are sold only at the door, for €12. The concert is supported by Live500, with IniMusik and BUSZ as supporting partners.
