Lori Goldston: Sound, Light, Movement
Lori Goldston: Sound, Light, Movement
Über das Event
Cellist Lori Goldston presents an intimate evening of live improvised music paired with experimental films on celluloid. In this touring program, Goldston's solo cello interacts directly with a curated selection of silent films from the Engauge Film Festival archive, selected by Caryn Cline of the Interbay Cinema Society.
Rather than pre-composed accompaniment, each performance emerges as a genuine conversation between sound and image, where the cello responds to the visual experience in real time. The films, originally conceived as silent works, allow the improvisation to take center stage and shape how we perceive the visuals.
This is an experimental approach to the relationship between music and cinema—intimate, spontaneous, and unpredictable. A donation-based event perfect for those seeking something unconventional and personally connected.
