This on-site workshop at Podewil helps artists and cultural managers keep the costs and expenses of a publicly funded project under control, based on the financial plan submitted with the application. Speaker Marcela Villanueva, a Berlin-based cultural manager and curator, introduces controlling for artistic projects and shows how to register costs from the start.

Participants get practical tips and tools for accounting, including what a spreadsheet for tracking costs could look like and what to consider for bookkeeping right from the beginning. The workshop is held in English and is free of charge, but places are limited, so registration in advance is required.
