Bound With the Living invites visitors to a shared research day within the all the rivers residency at ausland. The project is an experimental, collaborative inquiry that uses the séance as a method for engaging with history in a non-linear way, built around objects that carry histories of imperial violence, displacement and loss.

On this day the team looks back at objects and protocols from earlier séance sessions and explores something new together. Visitors are invited to bring their own objects that carry such histories. Together the group chooses one object, holds a séance, and then discusses and researches what came up during the session.

Visitors who want to bring an object are asked to send pictures of it, along with what they know about the object and its owner, to [email protected], preferably one to two weeks before the day. The day opens with a haptic tour, audio description and early boarding gathering at 15:30, and the gathering and start follow at 16:00.
