A powerful film and performance exploring rage, healing, and resistance through dance. The evening features the German premiere of "Madame Booty Therapy" (30 min), a documentary about Mouna Coulibaly, a French-Malian artist and creator of the Booty Therapy movement, followed by a live performance.
Mouna's work centers on reclaiming agency and transforming personal trauma into artistic and political practice. As a survivor of female genital mutilation and childhood sexual violence, she channels her rage into collective rituals where women reclaim their bodies, voices and power. Booty Therapy emerges as a radical resistance movement where dance becomes a language for healing and defiance.
This Berlin premiere is particularly significant as Mouna's book will be released in German in summer 2026. An evening exploring how art can channel pain into resistance.
