A Short Horse is a chamber trio exploring the intersection of experimental sound and traditional folk traditions from North America and Norway. The ensemble draws upon centuries-old folksongs to reimagine what this legacy might become in the present moment, blending vernacular music practices with contemporary approaches.

The trio features Jessie Marino on fiddle and voice, Weston Olencki on trombone and voice, and Fredrik Rasten on guitars and voice. Each musician brings their own cultural lineage and experimental sensibility to the work, creating an intimate conversation between past and present.

This is an event based on donation, making it accessible to all. Perfect for those interested in experimental music, folk traditions, and cross-cultural musical exchange.
