Natascha Stellmach presents THE LETTING GO, a participatory and performative art practice spanning 2012–2026. This book launch celebrates over 130 undocumented encounters at the intersection of visual art, psychotherapy, bodywork, and Buddhist philosophy. The central practice involves a bloodline tattoo (an untattoo in ink) through which participants engage with the question "What would you like to let go of?"
The publication collects selfies and reflections from participants alongside arresting photography by Stellmach, complemented by research excerpts from her work at the University of Melbourne and essays by Sandra Hüller, Kelly Gellatly, and Dr. Matthew McArdle. The result is an intimate portrait of meeting challenges with vulnerability and courage.
Stellmach is an Australian artist with German roots who has called Berlin home for over two decades. This is an invitation to discover "the wonder in our wounds" — art as encounter, ritual as practice, and the delicate, persistent work of human existence.
Meet the Artist, Book Signing, and Spoken-Word Performance at 20:00. Event in English.
