Sam Greenfield is a Philadelphia-born saxophonist and bandleader now based in Brooklyn, known for crafting groovy and playful soundscapes that merge jazz, funk, and fusion with pop appeal.
A versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, and sought-after session musician, Greenfield has collaborated with international stars including Cory Wong, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Mariah Carey, Joss Stone, and Queen Latifah. He's toured globally and is an integral part of the modern fusion and progressive music scene, including as a member of Thank You Scientist.
His solo career took off in 2021, establishing his independent artistic voice across multiple albums. During the pandemic, Greenfield built a home studio and deepened his engagement with production and recording — a DIY approach that continues to define his creative independence.
His music draws from a broad palette of influences, blending technical virtuosity with stylistic openness. His live performances are marked by energy, spontaneity, musical experimentation, and seemingly effortless excellence — driven by propulsive grooves, precise horn lines, and a sound that reaches audiences immediately. Not to be missed.
