Every Wednesday, the Elisabeth-Schwarzhaupt-Platz at Nordbahnhof transforms into a vibrant organic market. Step into this slow-paced sanctuary for locally grown produce, certified organic by EU regulations and independent organic associations like Demeter, Bioland, and Ecovin.
You'll find Berlin and Brandenburg's best directly from producers: seasonal vegetables and fruits, handmade breads and pastries, artisanal cheeses, locally raised meats and sausages, organic wine, coffee, and crêpes. Beyond food, discover flowers, antique books, and small-batch, sustainably made goods — no mass production.
The market welcomes everyone: families, children, and visitors with mobility or visual accessibility needs. Bring a reusable shopping bag and settle in for the experience. Browse, chat, wander, eat, drink, shop, and simply linger in this community space that's become a beloved Berlin institution.
Barrier-free access. Open Wednesday 11:00–17:30.
