The Musication Big Band from the University of the Arts Berlin showcases stylistically diverse programs in Berlin and beyond. Led by Maximilian Bahr, music education students are introduced to both traditional and modern big band repertoire. The ensemble emphasizes direct collaboration with other ensembles through joint concerts and exchange programs.

Each program is project-oriented and newly curated each semester. Beyond performances in Berlin's jazz clubs and UdK events, the band has achieved successful collaborations ranging from international exchanges (including with Finland's "Torvikopla" big band) to large-scale projects like Duke Ellington's "Sacred Concert" at Nikolaisaal Potsdam.

Whether workshop concerts, swing dance evenings, or innovative projects like "Sung Sound" under the mentorship of Prof. Niels Klein, the Musication Big Band stands for joy in playing and artistic diversity at the highest level.
