🎹 Kelly Moran is a classically trained composer and musician from New York. Although she has composed for many instruments and performed in several avant-rock groups and experimental ensembles, she has garnered particular attention with her solo albums, which combine experimental piano arrangements with ambient electronics.

After the surprising critical success of Bloodroot in 2017, she released the improvisation-based Ultraviolet on Warp Records in 2018. For Moves in the Field (2024), Moran took a different direction from her earlier prepared piano material: she composed pieces for a programmable, player-piano-like instrument capable of superhuman musical feats.
