Sasha Waltz & Guests present "for the time being," a contemporary dance work exploring collective experience and presence. Following its March 2026 premiere at Radialsystem, this production returns for an extended run in August.

Waltz and her ensemble develop a unique practice for experiencing the present moment through ritualized actions inspired by Mary Starks Whitehouse's Authentic Movement methodology and Pauline Oliveros' Deep Listening techniques. After many years off stage, Sasha Waltz joins the cast as a performer.

Drawing on a living imagination expressed through dance, song, and speech, the ensemble enters altered states of consciousness. All actions emerge collectively, without judgment, creating a kaleidoscope of presence through mutual observation. The space's changing energy generates an intensive encounter between bodies, voices, and attention.

The audience sits barefoot without phones, becoming witness and participant in the creative process unfolding in the present moment. A raw, intimate experience of contemporary dance as collective practice.
