📽️ 24-Hour Video Installation at Neue Nationalgalerie

"The Clock" is a 24-hour video work that traces the real passage of time through a century of film history. Since its premiere in London in 2010 and winning the Golden Lion at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011, the work has garnered great attention worldwide.

🎬 The Experience
A compilation of thousands of time-related film moments from film and television featuring clocks or timepieces. After years of meticulous research and editing, Christian Marclay has assembled these fragments into a seamless 24-hour film experience. The installation is precisely synchronized with Berlin's local time.

🏛️ Viewing

  • Daily during regular opening hours: Tue-Sun, 10:00-20:00
  • Special 24-hour screenings on select weekends
  • Temporary café by Five Elephant in the glass hall
