An inclusive architecture tour at the Neue Nationalgalerie, designed for visitors with and without visual impairments. The tour centers on the museum's distinctive, protected architecture by Mies van der Rohe and uses a new tactile model as its starting point to help participants literally "grasp" and understand the building through touch and interactive exploration.
The tour explores the essential features of the museum hall: the fluid transition from exterior to interior through the glass facade, and the combination of simplicity, clarity, and high-quality materiality. Participants will also discover the basement and, depending on the season, the sculpture garden with hands-on tactile experiences and invitations for heightened perception. The tour is conducted in easy language with tactile guidance, making architecture accessible to all.
Location: Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin
Duration: 1 hour
Participation fee: €6 plus museum entry
Note: Registration recommended. Limited number of participants.
