An inclusive architecture tour exploring the iconic Neue Nationalgalerie designed by Mies van der Rohe. This guided tour is designed for people with and without visual impairments, using a newly created tactile model as the starting point.
The tour focuses on the museum's distinctive architectural features: the flowing transition from outside to inside through the glass facade, and the combination of simplicity, clarity, and high-quality materials. Participants explore how the building exemplifies modernist design principles while discovering essential museum spaces.
The experience includes sensory engagement with the building's materials and structure, guided exploration of the main hall and basement, and seasonal visits to the sculpture garden. Participants will be invited to develop heightened perception through tactile and interactive experiences.
In easy-to-understand language with tactile guidance.
Advance registration is recommended. Limited number of participants.
