🎵 Throughout his life marginalized and discriminated against due to his skin color and gender identity, NoSo makes this pain his own to create deeply moving, bittersweet music and give back a small piece of hope to others through intimate glimpses into personal experiences and feelings.

Since his first songs, a central theme runs through NoSo's music: the exploration of one's own identity. As a queer trans man and Korean-American, Hwong has always existed outside the societal norms of the American middle class. The debut EP Parasites (2022) and the celebrated album Stay Proud of Me (2022) tell of daydreams about a life in which he can finally fully embrace his transmasculine identity. In a kind of musical coming-of-age story, NoSo describes his growing up – carried by dreamy guitar melodies, tinged with quiet melancholy, yet always with a hopeful, almost triumphant note.
