Sunn O))) returns to silent green with a full performance of their new self-titled album, their first long-player for legendary Seattle label Sub Pop.

Since 1998, Greg Anderson and Stephen O'Malley have transformed the metal power-chord into primordial drone—engulfing rhythm and conventional form in apocalyptic feedback. Wrapped in fog and volume, their performances unfold as infernal sound baths, both reverential and overwhelming.

The new album strips the project to its core, pushing guitar, bass, and synthesizer into symphonic extremes. Recorded with forensic detail, Anderson and O'Malley sent their seismic sounds from the studio into the landscape, then captured them again over vast distances. Amplified and filtered through open space, the songs emerged from over 100 simultaneous guitar tracks. The result: a hyper-distilled monolith of snarling distortion, shimmering feedback, and sub-bass pressure that merges amplifier worship with the rumble of distant thunder.
