Pansy Division is a groundbreaking gay pop-punk band formed in San Francisco in 1991. With bold, humorous lyrics and infectious energy, they broke barriers by being openly gay at a time when rock culture was far from accepting LGBTQ+ visibility. Fronted by guitarist/singer Jon Ginoli and bassist Chris Freeman, alongside drummer Luis Illades and guitarist Joel Reader, Pansy Division combined 60s pop sensibilities with 70s punk aggression to create music that was both catchy and confrontational.
Their discography—featuring albums like Undressed and Deflowered—established them as pioneers in queer punk rock. They've played alongside legends like Green Day and helped pave the way for LGBTQ+ musicians in rock. Their in-your-face attitude and refusal to be stereotyped made them cultural icons far beyond the punk scene.
Doors at 19:00, show starts at 20:00. Tickets available through 36-tickets.de, dice.fm, and Eventim.
