Leo Middea is a troubadour, guitarist, and songwriter from Rio de Janeiro who writes music inspired by Brazil's culture, energy, and contradictions. His songs pay tribute to the Brazilian people and the life of a traveling musician.
His latest work, Sulamérica, is a beautiful pop song shaped by Afro-Brazilian influences, inspired by Brazilian street markets. After years of writing about everyday life in Europe, Leo felt disconnected from his roots in Brazil and South America. Sulamérica is a tribute to his heritage, bringing together drums, rhythm, carnival spirit, and the pulsing energy of South America.
This concert features Música Popular Brasileira (MPB), with elements of Bossa Nova and Samba. The Noticias de Puglia Tour brings Leo's warm, culturally rooted music to Berlin's Heimathafen Neukölln.
Doors open at 19:00. Venue is standing room only (Saal).
