Her musical journey began in the deep South of the United States, where her family was deeply involved in the Civil Rights Movement. She has performed for President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, Tony Blair, and even the Pope, presenting a major music documentary on BBC titled "My Name Is Ottilie."
