Bill Frisell (guitar, USA) • Thomas Morgan (bass, USA) • Rudy Royston (drums, USA)
"An artist who gives meaning to every single note." – The Guardian
Bill Frisell has been one of the world's most influential guitarists since the 1980s, and as the Irish Times writes, "one of the most important and groundbreaking musicians of our time." Together with Thomas Morgan and Rudy Royston, he takes you on a journey through his music—full of depth, emotion, and inventiveness.
Since the 1980s, Frisell has released dozens of albums as leader and sideman on labels like ACT, ECM, and Blue Note Records. He studied at Berklee School of Music before moving to New York. He's worked with jazz greats like Joe Lovano, Paul Motian, Dave Douglas, composed film music, curated concert series, and won a Grammy in 2005 for Best Jazz Album.
Thomas Morgan is one of contemporary jazz's most sought-after bassists. With lyrical tone, profound musicality, and subtle virtuosity, he's collaborated with Paul Motian, Tomasz Stanko, Craig Taborn, and Dan Weiss.
Rudy Royston has performed with Bill Frisell, Les McCann, Jason Moran, Ravi Coltrane, and The Mingus Big Band, among many others.
